Do you ever expect Pakistan or India to be interested in making anime.

What the title says. Pakistan and India have made various cartoons before, mostly for kids, such as Burka Avenger. Most of them are shit (like Chotta Bheem), but that's a discussion for another time.

Can we expect Pakistan or India to ever create anime (even if it is for kids)? If so, what do you expect them to be like? What kind of stories would you expect?



As for any anime that India or Pakistan did create...well, uh, I know of "The Glassworker" movie being created by Mano Studios (iirc). A teaser was released for it in 2016, but that's all we have of it so far. Its supposed to be released in 2020, iirc. I don't know of any Indian anime, however.

I personally feel the demand is not there. So I don't think we will see any major project.

making the animation of an anime is not easy.. and even other animes that arent from japan struggle in the market like chinese ones.

the cost is too high and as always desi people are all free leachers so the anime will never make enough money to justify it.

while in japan etc they sell manga action figures bags tickets etc etc etc
