Pretty happy with this new purchase, finally a new laptop after 5 years, really needed the upgrade.
(Running Fedora 34 on it BTW)

After surfing around here for vendors that could help me import a laptop, finally found one through a chat on the PG discord. Took some while to get here mainly because of the pandemic and UAE closing routes to Pakistan, but finally, it's here.

Linux pr wifi/Bluetooth ka issue to nhi horaha? Any other unusual stuff after installing Linux?

Runs great, this is one of the reasons I got this laptop. The community support for Linux is great, they have all the options for tweaking Asus laptop settings, along with great kernel-level hardware support (https://asus-linux.org/).

Things to note though, Ubuntu 18.04/20.4/21.04 runs very poorly mostly because the kernel is too old and not meant new hardware. Pop OS fares better but still requires swapping the old kernel with the mainline 5.14 kernel to unlock most of the hardware potential. Fedora/Arch runs great out of the box, mostly because of the new kernel and support from the community.

    So i just found out that f***ing s***bag Microsoft shut down Arkane Studio (makers of the brilliant Dishonored series) and Tango Gameworks (makers of the iconic The Evil Within series), among some other studios.     Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

    tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
