Meezan has a very good debit card - no hidden charges, discounts on Careem, Daraz etc., pre-activated with Verified by Visa security, NFC etc.. The annual charges are like Rs. 750. Recently, however, SBP's Shariah Compliance Board declared payments to Netflix as haram (lmao) . So, Meezan's card no longer works on Netflix, which is a shame. I have had 0 problems with Meezan's card, apart from the last issue, and have had it for almost 4 years now.

What's the issue that you had with Meezan, if you don't mind me asking?

netflix doesn't have to abide by Pemra's censorship rules so that is why it is being blacklisted. no doubt the army and agencies don't want pakistanis consuming indian content. free speech is not in their interest.

Despite having a Gold Visa card (for more than 18+ months) and my salary being credited to SCB, they have only given me a credit limit of 2 salary multiples.

During the application, I was promised 3-4 salary multiples by the rep at the bank. I am not happy with this allotted limit so I am looking for some other bank. What are my options? HBL?Faysal?

I would recommend Bank Alfalah. They gave me a 3x salary limit, despite not being my paycheck bank. I have only got good things to say about their CC service. The only minor gripe being that the mobile app/ebanking has no CC statement facility and only shows last 10 posted transactions.

Today i tried to use MCB lite for international transaction, it is failing after I got new card. Helpline says its because i have "level 0" card. I dont know what it means and they want me to upgrade it to level 2 for international transactions. Problem is, level 2 needs income proof, i dont have any. Dont know much about level1. FK MCB, anyone help us!

They've added some kind of weird restriction that declines the transaction if its initiated as a merchant transaction or whatever they call it. I don't understand the technical side of it but that's pretty much it. My card kept declining on Steam and by entering manually it worked.

Oh, mine will expire in 2023. I tried to make a test purchase on aliexpress of 0.6 usd. It worked but stuck at 'processing payment" and it said "[FONT=&quot]It may take longer to process your order during peak traffic hours. No worries, your order status will be updated within an hour. Meanwhile, please go ahead and shop more!"
So i am waiting if it works or not, no sms from bank so far,[/FONT]

Did you remove the card from saved cards and enter it manually at checkout?

Yup, I have activated the new chip based card.
Here's a thing though, my old Lite card is also chip based and on level 0.
Have you tried the old card on any other website? Maybe try it on Daraz.

Oh I see. Thanks you a lot for telling me that old cards work. I tried to use old card, after 6 hours payment went through on aliexpress. (so helpline is complete BS wow). Got message recently from bank that old card will stop working on 31march which is again BS considering covid19. SMS also said to activate my new chip based card. I ALREADY ACTIVATED IT BEFORE! i need to do it again. Aliexpress still gives me errors, sometimes it goes through. I tried it on daraz.pk it went through on first try. But I actually really wanted to use it on daraz.com.bd, it always fails on it and says transaction failed by risk scanning. I dont understand why.

They denied my brother account creation they asked for payment proof, I thought asaan account was for students

I created an asaan account 2-3 months without any proof of income. They did take a long time to process my application.
