What Is Best For Going Into Hardware of IT

There Are Courses For Electrical engineering, Software engineering and Computer Sciences
So Which One To Do If Wanna Learn About The Hardware Side Of It, Or Should I Majors In CS and EE for masters

First of all, Computer Science is the mother field, and SE is a sort of subfield. BSCS will get you a degree of Computer "Scientist" rather than an "Engineer". Secondly CS and SE course line is almost the same but the focus is different. CS is mainly focused on theory and trying to build up the tools like your maths, algorithms etc. SE is more focused towards the process used to build large softwares and more on the development side.Computer Engg. is completely different. It's focused on the hardware. Tagging a guy I know he is from CE Spartan 117 If you wanna go in robotics I think going CS would be better then making your masters field in robotics. CS gives you a good insight on every field which i think is really necessary.

SE is kinda sub-field of CS. It comprises of more software work. Course outline is same almost for CS and SE. But there are some courses you will be missing in SE, it also depends on your university's faculty, in here at Iqra Uni, CS offers, Automata theory, Compiler Constructions, AI, ML and so on so forth, but SE doesn't have them, I think they don't even study DCCN.

Computer Engineering is a mix of software and hardware, but more focus on the hardware side. Electronics, digital hardware, networking etc are usually the focus. It depends on uni as well regarding which courses they offer. I studied it from COMSATS Abbottabad.

If you wanna go in robotics and focus on hardware, Computer Engineering is an option. But IMO, a better option would be Mechatronics engineering. It's a mix of electronics and mechanical engineering and if your focus is robotics, this should prepare you properly for that. Again, it can depend on universities as well and which courses they offer.

I'm a Mechatronics graduate with a > 3.6 GPA with a major in software development, so I think I am qualified to answer as well.

If you are interested in the hardware side of things, I would not recommend computer science. A lot of it is theory, algorithms and while there are probably going to be a couple of courses on electronics and robotics, there will be minimal focus on it.

The thing with robotics is that it also involves design and construction. If you want to build a robot from scratch for example, you'd need some basic mechanical engineering and control systems knowledge alongside the electronics/programming. This is where Mechatronics would be very useful. You'll also learn a lot of ways to make your robots move, such as hydraulics, servo motors, steppers, etc and in this way you can enhance your creativity and skills. However you can also take up an electrical + computer engineering degree and learn the mechanical aspects on your own (they're not very difficult) using tutorials - there are plenty on the Internet - instructables to name just one good website.

The scope of jobs is an entirely different ballgame though. I could be wrong, but I think you may have a tough time finding a job where you'll use critical thinking to build robots, at least in Pakistan. I couldn't find a job I liked in this field either, so I'm currently working as a software developer until I go abroad and continue a Masters degree in electrical + computer engineering. Or robotics. I haven't decided yet. ;)

Hi this is Robert and I'm a student of BS(CS).. I recommended Computer Engineering, there are not a major difference between CS and CE ,both discipline course outline same but there are some differences in subject that are completely depends on last semester specialization..I recommended the high level university where you become more practically in your IT field. There are also a Cumulative GPA Calculator through which I'm calculated my GPA or CGPA.

don't fall for the word "Engineering" in Software engineering. CS And SE are almost same as far as the courses are taught thus both are almost same degree with different titles. moreover, if you really want to go for something that involve "Engineering" a little bit more than Computer Engineering is the best bet for you.

Online session is enabled for UBL. I have an active subscription with my NayaPay card (it is already added to Google Payment Methods).

did you try setting up Google Payments? For UBL you may have to get it enabled for internet transactions, Naya should work without it!

I tried both NayaPay, and UBL, but I keep getting "correct country selected..." error. I already have PK set there 🤦‍♂️

if we are moving towards more and more popular trash across platforms that make billions for companies, I'm happy with all the barriers and exclusivity because at least that brings some pressure to create good stuff.
