I mean, CerebralTiger is the same individual who expected Fallout 4 to "raise the standards" and qualified it for a GOTY 2015 contender. And between Scam CiTizen and No Lulz Sky, we know he loves his space exploration games. So yeah, not a stretch to imagine that CerebralTiger wouldve been there day 1 for Starfield's launch. He will still be there but not in the capaCiTy he would've wanted

Just two days away from Starfield's review embargo, Eurogamer is still to receive a copy of the game from Bethesda.

No publisher is obligated to provide a copy of their game to us, but it is important we are able to be transparent with you, our readers, about the delay this will have on the Eurogamer coverage you expect, especially as it has become clear that copies of the game are abundant elsewhere, and in particular in the US.

Access to the game appears to have been heavily restricted in the UK, where Bethesda has also not provided copies of Starfield to other websites and YouTube channels owned by Eurogamer parent company Reedpop. Meanwhile, some other UK outlets have been provided access through Bethesda's US arm.

Lastly, a note on Digital Foundry. You should expect to see relatively prompt coverage of the game by Rich and his team after a separate delivery of Starfield code was provided to them. However, this was provided alongside instruction to me by Bethesda that no other parts of Eurogamer were granted access. This was an unprecedented request, but one I ultimately felt compelled to honour to ensure the access granted to Digital Foundry was not subsequently impacted by any other mandate

It's the DICE awards that gave it GOTY 2015. I just showed solidarity with them, which I no longer do after seeing theirs and GDC awards' ways of shamelessly favoring indie titles over better AAA contenders coz won't anyone think of them pooooor indies

I didn't play any Elder Scrolls or Fallout game outside of an hour or two. While the immersive sim element is worth appreciating, everything else about their games is awful.

So yeah, not a stretch to imagine that CerebralTiger wouldve been there day 1 for Starfield's launch.

My Pre-Load is done on both the series X and my lappy. Hopefully, i can do 1080p 60 fps on my lappy on decent settings. Would much rather play at 60fps than 30 fps.

What are your meta score predictions for this one ? I really really hope this is a 90+ on the meta. MS desperately needs that 1 big win since PS has been blowing it out of the park with exclusives.

Besides Ragnarok, and Demon's Souls if you count remakes, Sony hasn't had a 90+ exclusive this gen. After ToTK and BG3 both scoring 96, Starfield has no excuse to not score that high lol
