The only way to determine whether you're on PIE or TW is by performing a traceroute.

Try performing in command prompt

tracert resolver1.opendns.com

and share your results here.

TW usually has better pings to Singapore than PIE (at my end, pings to Singapore are botched on PIE, but even if they're not at your end, it's easy to perform a comparison).
Here you go

That's PIE, alright (TW routes it through Equinix Singapore).

I saw your speedtests earlier - they range between 15Mbps and 25Mbps. What's your package speed? If it's 25Mbps, then the UAE server is giving you full speeds. You can try other random servers in Europe to see whether you're consistently getting 25Mbps (+- 2 mbps).

You can always try testing different servers when in doubt (also make sure that no one else is using your network at the time).

There is one more thing which you could take a look at: your wifi channels. If you're on 2.4Ghz, try changing the channels (best to use a program like Wifi Analyzer - see the Windows marketplace - or something similar on your phone to see how congested your wifi network channel is, and change it).

But to rule out the effects of wifi, use ethernet and then see.

Edit: you can use speedtest.net as well - just don't pick a Pakistani server.

30 Mb is my package. I have checked via ethernet too with only single device connected. The variations are present depending upon location I select.

Yesterday, I was getting very poor speeds on local servers as well. Today they are fine atleast on local servers and better on some International servers as well.

Seems like some backend issue from Stormfiber.

It could very well be a backhaul issue in your neighborhood - or something messed up at the ISP end.

Now that you've done a few basic diagnostics, you should be able to talk to their customer service reps (hoping you get a decent rep who understands).

Everyone, feel free to join Stormfiber users WhatsApp group. I did not find any existing group, so, created a new one: https://chat.whatsapp.com/Is5POIavPUm7oVlY1KDmGz
Perfect way to gather phone numbers and begin spamming people. Not saying that may be your intention, but as a random stranger on the internet, I wouldn't trust a group like this.

This forum - or any other chat platform (e.g. Discord or Telegram) which lets you pick a username without revealing personal information (such as your phone number) are better alternatives.

But it's better to use a public forum for the benefit of everyone.

You are right but WhatsApp is the most common platform which is available to almost everyone. Fiberlink, PTCL, other ISPs already have users WhatsApp groups operating and they are very helpful.

Requested for connection on 28th June 2022 and still awaiting call from their technician.
Also since I play a lot of online games, can anyone recommend the best router for flawless ping without using the ethernet cables?

TP Link routers are generally decent.

But for gaming via wireless, given the choice, make sure your router supports 5G at the minimum (to reduce channel interference, if any).

The rest depends on your ISP and the backbone.

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for being a part of StormFiber family, and for placing your trust in our services. As you are aware, the Pakistani Rupee has depreciated drastically over the last few months. In addition to this, across the board inflation including the impact on fuel and consumables has resulted in a massive increase in costs of continuing to provide fiber broadband services.

At StormFiber, we strongly believe in delivering high quality and reliable broadband services at competitive prices; however, with the immense increases in costs, we must make adjustments to our pricing structure to continue to deliver on our promise to our users. Keeping this in view, effective 1st August 2022, monthly recurring charges (MRC) inclusive of tax of your plan have been revised from PKR 2,635.00 to PKR 2,831.00 (incl. of taxes & excl. of any add ons and maintenance charges, if applicable).

As a token of our appreciation, we have upgraded your plan from 10 to 15 Mbps and have made StormFiber to StormFiber (on-net) calls FREE nationwide. Your revised monthly bill will be sent on your registered email id by 5th August 2022.

We thank you for your overwhelming support during these difficult times.

Yours Sincerely,

StormFiber Billing

did you try setting up Google Payments? For UBL you may have to get it enabled for internet transactions, Naya should work without it!

I tried both NayaPay, and UBL, but I keep getting "correct country selected..." error. I already have PK set there 🤦‍♂️

Did y'all see the new Assassin's Creed trailer? They finally made a AC set in Japan & then they put a negro as the male protagonist. Ubisoft is taking cues from Disney, and it isn't gonna end well for them, just like Disney. Go woke, go broke!
