Oh cool. From whom did you study?

Hm, well i mostly studied from the internet. I downloaded the syllabus and went point by point, making notes. I also relied on my computer teacher (at my school) but didn't join any coaching centers. I took a great deal of help from A'levels computing 9691 book too.

You took only AS or A2 as well? I am thinking of giving accelerated privately next year. But except for ZAK i don't know any teachers who teach this subject.

I only took AS, will take A2 next year. Zafar Ali Khan teaches computer science to As'level students at my school ( TCS, gulshan A'levels). The teachers who teaches me is Sir Zaryab Hussain. I have never studied under sir Zafar, so i have no opinions about him. However, Sir Zaryab is an awesome and well-qualified teacher.

Oh. I have never heard of him before. Does he teach at any coaching centre?

Best schools for A levels??

Hey! So I'm taking my O3 exams this year and its kinda late but I need to decide which school i want to join asap. Got 3 As last year and Im kind of expecting good grades this year as well. My actual plan was to do my a levels privately but I really don't want to miss out on college life (since there will be no time for fun once i get into a medical university). Advices for A level schools? the ones which have nice faculty as well as give good scholarships?? I'm thinking about joining nixor since its jas great teachers and lots of fun. Ik they don't allow you to take tuitions but I'm a nerd so yeah I can deal with that.
PS: Idk why i wrote this long paragraph even tho didnt intend to but oh well.. :)

For my school BSS Gulshan Alevel (Now known as BCCG Beaconhouse College Campus Gulshan ) you get like 70% scholarship if you have more 6As . For Nixor ,I remember someone showed me a photo of their scholarship criteria . I'm sure you can find it on their fb page or website

Hey everyone, I recently started my A levels and I need some help. I'm pretty tired right now so instead of rewriting everything I'll just show copy paste the email I wrote to my career counselor, who as of yet hasnt replied :/

"I am a student enrolled in the As batch at The ********* School . I need guidance on a particular matter pertaining to my higher studies. Prior to starting school I had decided to take 4 subjects - Chem/Phy/Math/Computer Science. I plan to apply for an undergrad program in Computer Engineering/Computer Science at either FAST/NUST or GIKI. Due to personal reasons, I wish to drop Computer Science for A levels. Secondly, when we met in person during the career counselling session you told me that I'd have to prepare for ECAT instead of SAT. After looking at the eligibility criteria for FAST, NUST and GIKI, it seems that none of them accept ECAT. They have their own customized tests and they only accept SAT as an alternative to them.
My questions are as follows:
1. Will I still be able to enroll in a Computer Science/Computer Engineering undergrad program at the universities I mentioned, without studying Computer Science in A levels? I am compelled to keep the pre-engineering subjects only (Chem/Phy/Math)
2. Since the custom tests for the universities are primarily Fsc based, would it not be easier for me, as an A levels graduate, to give SATs instead to apply for entrance?
Some enlightenment on the matter would be a great help."

The real reason I'm dropping Computer Science in A levels is because I intend to go private, school is too much of a waste of time and money. And since I've heard you cant give CS as a private candidate, Im going to have to drop it if I go private.
If ANYONE could shed some light, thatd be a GREAT help.

Firstly , all my friends gave SAT1 & SAT2 and also took ECAT classes . They gave SAT in December and took ECAT classes in A2 .In ECAT classes ,they teach you the Fsc syllabus . Things us Alevel students hadn't studied but you will still find Intermediate students in ECAT classes because ECAT class as a whole is for preparing you for entrance exam for engineering major in any university. And even if you opt for entrance exam which I highly recommend to you (You can submit your Sat score and still take part in entrance exam ) you will come under Alevel seats .In every university ,there are allotted seats for Alevels,Federal board ,Sindh Board etc .

Secondly ,I have a friend who is studying in FAST in Karachi . He is doing CS there and I remember he took Computing at that time but now that subject is discontinued . So I'm not entirely sure if they take students in without a computer subject however in IBA they do take students who hadn't taken any computer related subject in O/A-Levels.

As for the dropping computer science since private candidates can't give . I'm sorry but I believe this is false . My friend in Islamabad gave the whole A2 privately this year and computer science was among one of his subjects . I believe now he is enrolled in CS in Bahria Uni in Isl/Pindi . So I'm certain you can give the subject privately . If you still have doubts ,you can call the British Council and ask them this .

I'm pretty sure you only need to study the pre-eng subjects for Computer Science. As for your SAT or ECAT question, I personally practiced for ECAT and noticed that Alevels dudes seemed to find some stuff new/different, but as an Inter student I can't really tell you which is better for you.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
